This week we had Zone Conference! It was way good! President Gustufson had a 1 hour presentation on bicycle safety. Becaaaauuuse.... apparently the Japan, Fukuoka mission is the number 1 leading mission for bicycle accidents. Soo ya after that scaring presentation, I will stop at stop lights and all that jazz, no worries ;)This week, there was all this drama about a Typhoon heading to Chikushino. Ward members would tell us all week, `Don’t go out on Thursday! There`s a Typhoon!` I was SO excited! Woo hoo! My first natural disaster! Me and Davidson had the whole day planned out, eating popcorn and watching The Testaments while the storm raged outside. Thursday came ....... ya, it may be sprinkled for like an hour. We probably saw more rain on any other given Saturday in Japan. I was bumed, but we got to go out so that was good :D Saturday we had our International Food Night! It was way fun! We had Pilipino, Greek, American, German and Japan(obvs) food. It was a lot of fun! The 6 of us missionaries got up and taught everyone `Frere Jaque` in English, Spanish and French, and the Macarena. Ya that was a sight. Let`s just say I never thought I`d be in Japan teaching a bunch of Japanese people the Macarena. It was so funny!
Miracles of the week: -We had to go get a lot of stuff at the store before the party, and it was pouring rain. But once we got out of the church, or out of the store, it would stop raining. It was such a miracle we didn`t get drenched-I was having back problems on Tuesday, but we were planning on meeting with a less active. My back was kind of driving me crazy but I just prayed that the pain would stop at least during the lesson so I could focus. Ya, as soon as we knocked on the door and I said `Konnichiwa` to our LA, my back pain was gone! Power of prayer. It works!-We also had an awesome lesson with our investigator Mai-chan. She`s the one with the baptismal date. We taught her the 10 commandments and the Law of Chastity. She really understood. She`s so prepared! Her baptismal date is Aug.9 and I can`t wait! :D
