This last P-day was fun! So once upon a time, I told my beloved Fiji companion that `I believe in fun P-days.` So she`s like, `Okay! There`s been this statue that I`ve always wanted to see. So we bike up there. And there is this GIANT statue in the middle of Kurume. Its serious the size of a skyscraper. its in the middle of this really pretty shrine. That was an adventure! I really love Taufaga Shimai. She`s so funny and sweet and such a hard working missionary. We get dead tired by the end of the day. And she really shows her love for our investigators. We visited our investigator Kanemura-san this week. She has severe depression and is always just alone in her apartment. We went and visited her and talked about God and the Book of Mormon. She`s been reading it but when we asked her if she thinks she`s ever felt God`s love before, she straight forward said, `No.` That gave us an opportunity to testify of God`s love. We both did. We told her who she was. She was a daughter of God. He does love her and he does understand all that she is and is going through. When I testified of that I felt the spirit work through me. It was soft, but a firm feeling that what I was saying is the truth! Also we had Fukuoka Stake Conference this weekend!!! It was so much fun!!! It was Saturday night and Sunday morning. So we got to sleep over in the Fukuoka Shimai`s apartment and guess who was there. My infamous MTC comp Doi shimai!!!!! We had SO much fun catching up! It was so good! |
And since Kurume is apart of Fukuoka stake I got to see all my Chikushino members from my 1st Area!!! It was so good! Goodness gracious I love the Chikushino ward! It was so good to see them all again. They were surprised to see me and how much better my Japanese has gotten. Wahoo! I am learning this language, I guess!!!
It really has been amazing to reflect on just how different I was back then and now. God really has molded me into such a better missionary then I was.
I still have so much to learn, but it`s such a blessing to see the effects even now. I love this church. This church is all about changing and becoming better. That`s what the Savior`s invitation to us is. We don`t have to stay the way we are. We can always start new and change for the better.
Love you all! Till Next week!
