So transfers right. I said goodbye to another great area this week. I was transfered this week from Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima to Iwakuni, Yamaguchi!!! Crazy right?! I was only in Hatsukaichi for 5 weeks, but I loved it. The ward is amazing and I'll miss them.
Iwakuni is super tight though! Iwakuni has a Marine Airforce Base, so the branch we work with is an ENGLISH speaking military branch!!! :D They are so amazing! I cannot tell you how strange it was to attend an english speaking sacrament meeting for the first time in over a year. It was awesome! My mind almost couldn't keep up with the fact that I could understand everything that was being said to me. It's amazing how much more I got out of church. All the ward members are top notch military families and they are the sweetest people I've met. They're really on the same team as the missionaries in this work.
Like friday night we had a lesson at the Carters with our investigator named Mitchell. He's a young marine training at the base and he's really good friends with the Carters. The Carters are an amazing family. They're the ones that set up the lessons for us. They made a delicious american meal and we had a lesson on the Restoration afterword. Mitchell is so receptive to the message! He asks questions and reads the Book of Mormon. He's gold! The only problem is that he's going on vacation for like a month. :( So we're a little sad, but excited for him to start his journey in search for truth.
Well I'm super excited to work in this area!!! I know this is the Lords work and am so proud to be apart of it.
I love you all!
