It`s nearly official kids! I`ve almost been out on my mission for 6 months! :D Wow time flies! This week has been SO awesome! It`s been such a drastic switch from last week.(ehhh I may or may not have mentioned it in my last email, but last week was kind of ...bleh) But this week really turned things around! This week our district went to Kagoshima for Interviews with the Mission President. I love President Gustufson! He told me exactly what I needed to hear. Just lately I`ve just been in a jumble, and I didn`t know why. Me and Fujita Shimai have amazing investigators who are coming to church and progressing. The branch is the best! We`re working hard. We`re being obediant. But I just wasn`t as happy. I asked President about it and he told me just to be me. Just be Sister Amber Stevenson. He said that most japanese are too `magime` or too serious. Just laugh and smile and be yourself. Missionaries are actual people. We`re not meant to act as robots. Heavenly Father didn`t send me to Japan to be a serious Japanese person, he sent me to be a half samoan, half british, wacky all American! Merica! I have been just kind of following my companions style of missionary work up till now, but now I think I know enough to do my own. I think Heavenly Father really wanted me to know that. It`s okay to just be Sister Stevenson. In other news ... I experienced my first earthquake this week!!! :D It was in the middle of the night and I remember feeling it and thinking, `wow, cool my first earthquake.` but then when I got up, Fujita shimai didn`t say anything so I just reasoned that it was a dream. But then all the other missionaries in Kagoshima were like, `Did you feel the earthquake?` So ya, I was super excited :D Fujita Shimai just kept looking at me like I was crazy. We invited Nozaki-san to be baptized on Sunday. She said she wants to learn more, before she makes a choice like that. Some missionaries might not be content with that, but I can understand her thinking. I think it`s okay if she wants to take more time to learn. I have every confidence that she`ll get baptized. :D Also today, me and Fujita Shimai went and played at the beach!!! :D It was so fun! I love Miyazaki! As hard as missionary work is, I love being out here! I love teaching people about Christ and this gospel!!! Till next week! |

my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a
trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God.
