Wow I can't really remember what happened this week... oh ya! Haha we knocked on this one ladies house and she told us she wasn't interested. My general phylosophy is that I usually give people 2-3 times to deny me then I send them on their way and look for someone who does want to talk. My comp Fujita shimai is different. She's awesome! She's so persistant. Sometimes she likes to dance on that line between boldness and overbearance, but hey, it works! She just kept trying and trying to get this lady to take a Book of Mormon or a flyer, but she kept saying no. The lady was nice though! She went back in her house and brought us out two little juice boxes. ;D Then told us no about 9 more times, but hey, we got juice out of it! Yeah! ;D Nozaki-san is so amazing. We really do have a great relationship with her. We're not just missionaries to her, we're like her friends. That's how missionary work should be I think. Missionary work is just being a good friend. Anyway, she loves coming to church and choir. I hope I stay in Miyazaki long enough to see her progress! It's so awesome to see! haha don't freak out. Me and Fujita Shimai were waiting for a potential investigator at the church and there was a wheelchair soooo obviously I'm going to play with it >:D |

This week me and Fujita Shimai had an awesome miracle! We were trying to find a potential investigators house, when on the way Fujita shimai stops and points at an apartment. She`s like `a less active lives there` She`s tried to contact that less active other times, but she wasn`t home those times. So we thought, why not? We go and ring her apartment up. She answers and we tell who we are. She`s like ` Ok ok, but I busy so i only have like 2 minutes.` We went up and just started talking to her. We just got to know her and the next thing we know, we`re laughing and just having a good time. She even made us a little snack. We talked about all the places she`s been. She`s been to over 158 countries and has a bunch of souvenirs all over her aparment! Its awesome! We asked her how her scripture reading is going. She said she hasn`t read it in a long time. We pulled out our book of Mormons. Before she was like `ahhh I don`t really need the Book of Mormon` We shared a alma 18:32. But as we talked more about it, we testified how God knows each of us personally. He knows every trial, every problem, every detail of our past and our future. We testified that God loves us and she began to have a different countenance. Every time we testified she would nod her head and quietly agree. We testified that the Book of Mormon brings us closer to God and after we asked her to read the Book of Mormon everyday, she said she would! She seemed excited to start reading again. She brought out her old Book of Mormon and put it on her table. We ended up staying for like 35 minutes and she gave us her number and told us to come again! It was such a miracle! It was so cool just to see the Spirit work on someone right infront of our eyes!
hahaha so this wierd picture ... So sometimes (like ALL the time) I don`t always understand what Fujita Shimai is saying and Fujita Shimai was trying to explain some old drama these 3 people and I totally didn`t get it. so this is us re-enacting people with an oreo, a pen and a hi-chew! I got it then. It was so fun! Hey everyone! This week has been way busy. Miyazaki is such a prepared area. We always have people to visit, we barely have time to knock on doors. It`s such a blessing!!!We had a lesson with Nozaki-san. She is sooo golden. Yesterday she was telling us how she loves to come to church and hear everyone`s talks. She`s only been to church 3 times and the ward has pretty much already adopted her. They ask her for your number and invite her to activities all without us telling them. She even stayed after church for and hour for chior practice! If you just walked in, you`d honestly think that she was just another member. Miyazaki ward is the BOMB. They are the picture of member missionary work, I love it! So last Saturday we had a REAL Typhoon!!! (as opposed to my not-real typhoon in Chikushino) Ya the wind was crazy. We stayed inside pretty much all day.Language update: Yup Im still not fluent. ;) Nah, having a japanese companion has helped a lot. I`m already starting to respond more naturally in japanese instead of thinking about it. So this week during personal study, I decided to whip out my Childrens song book. I was just flipping through it when I came on a song. I literally haven`t given this song a second thought since Primary, but I think it`s amazing. Do you remember this one? He Sent His Son
How could the Father tell the world of love and tenderness? He sent his Song, a new-born babe, with peace and holiness. How could the Father show the world the pathway we should go? he sent his son to walk with menon earth, that we may know. How could the Father tell the world of sacrifice of death? He sent his Son to die for usand rise with living breath. What does the Father ask of us? What do the scriptures say? Have faith, have hope, live like his son, Help others on their way..... What does he ask? Live like his Son. This song is so simple, but it is full of truth. God loves us so much. He wants to show us the way. I meet people everyday who don`t believe in God. They ask where is the evidence? People have asked me, If God loves us, why doesn`t he answer our prayers? Why doesn`t he show himself to us?He does love us. By sending his Son as an example for us, he did answer our prayers. Christ is the way. He is the way to true happiness. I love this gospel and know it`s true. So I ran out of time so here are some pictures! Its a pirate ship playground we went to on monday.Oh also in other news, I`m being TRANSFERED!!!I`m going to Miyazaki! Its at the very botton of Kyushu island. I`m super excited! Wish me luck!!!
Wow what a week! This last week I got transfered from Chikushino to Miyazaki!!! I was so surprised. That's not really normal to stay in an area for only 2 transfers, but I was way excited! My last few days in Chikushino I was pretty much just saying goodbye to everyone. This lady (pic 1) is my favorite person ever! She's a less active and I love her guts! She is so funny! We make fun of each other all the time. She's convinced that I look like a mermaid. I also said goodbye to my favorite investigator Stamatia! I bore my testimony of the happiness that this gospel brings. She's changed so much since the first time I met her. She just has so much more light and happiness in her life. She told me that she can feel a difference in her countenance too. Saying goodbye was hard. She started crying in the middle of her prayer and that's when I kind of lost it too. I know she's going to get baptized. I might not be the missionary that's in her baptismal picture, but I believe she'll make it to the font and on to the temple, no doubts about that. Miyazaki is SOOO awesome! It[s so pretty! It[s right next tot the ocean! My new comp is Sister Fujita. She's an angel. Like really. There isn't a bad bone in her body. She stops everyone, which I love! We have some amazing investigators! One of them is Son-san. We met him my first day I was here. He told us in the lesson that he doesn't believe in God. But after teaching him the Restoration and watching the movie, he said that he could believe that God exists. He came to church on Sunday too! We asked him what he thought about church afterward, and he said that It was awesome! He loves it! ;D Golden Investigator yo! I've met some of our other investigators and literally, they all seam like Golden investigators.
I love this gospel and I'm so excited to get to work and proclaim this gospel! I love this gospel with all my heart! Ganbarimasu! |
