This last week was way fun! First, all the missionaries put on a big Family Home Evening at the church. We invited a bunch members and had a few of our investigators show up. We were actually hoping that our one investigator Nango-san and her 2 kids would show up. We visited her at her house like 2 hours before to remind her about it and she said that she would come. We were so excited! But like 30 minutes before it started, she texted and said she couldnt come. Aghghgh bleh!
That happens all the time on missions. We were super disappointed but still had fun at the activity! We had a message on standing up for your beliefs and morals, then had a fun treasure hunt around the church. It was way fun! Also this week we had Zone Conference and A Special Training. It was so good to hear from Kaicho. The Assistants trained us on how to use the media and mormon messages. They`re really trying to focus on using those. Sooooooo pretty much, they`re training us to be prepared for .........IPADS! Yup, I said it. They didnt specifially say that, but they totally are. I think we might get them sometime next year. That`s going to be soooo nice! People can really relate to those mormon messages. You can really feel the spirit through them. I know I do all the time. One of the Assistants said something really great at the training. I think we were on the subject of Buddhism, and he shared a story. Two men were talking and one asked the other, `What percent of Japan is Christian?` The other man answered, `I think less than 1%`the other man shook his head, and said ,`Nah, they all are. 100%` In JOB, it says that in the Grand Councel in Heaven that when God presented his plan and presented Christ as our Savior that we all shouted for joy. All of us. Im not going to lie. I sometimes feel like Japan is just a big brick wall and no one wants to hear about Christ. They avoid the name of Christ like the plague I feel like. But no. We were all Christicans once. Everyone of us said at one point in the life before this one said, `I choose the Savior` They`ve just forgotten. They`ve forgotten who they were and who they chose.
I'm so blessed, so immensely blessed to have been raised in this gospel. Ive grown up knowing who I am. I did choose Christ. I chose him then and I still choose him now. He is my Savior forever and ever. I`ll fight for him and defind him for as long as I live and longer. I know this church is true! How lucky we are to know that! I love my Savior and know he lives.
Till next week!Sister Stevenson
